Our Story

A small farm, a big belief in real food, and two people figuring it out together.

A farm built from
curiosity, roots,
and real belief

We are Nat and Shea — the founders and farmers behind Green & Bloom. Since 2020, we've been growing vegetables and flowers on one acre of land in Amaranth, Ontario, and learning something new every single season.

Farming chose us as much as we chose it. We arrived here through a shared desire to live closer to the land, to understand where food comes from, and to build something with our own hands that genuinely nourishes people.

We still have so much to learn. That's the part we love most.

Two people, one farm, an ongoing conversation between optimism and realism.

Shea (Shehan)

CO-FOUNDER & HEAD GROWER

Shea is the main brain and planner of the operation — the tool navigator, the early morning riser, and the farm's resident optimist. He approaches each growing season with curiosity and an unshakeable belief that things will work out. (They usually do.)

CO-FOUNDER & CREATIVE DIRECTOR

Natalie

Nat is the organiser, designer, and storyteller — the one who makes sure everything looks as good as it tastes. She keeps the farm grounded in reality (or, as Shea puts it, pessimism), channels the farm's creative voice, and loves a good sleep-in.

WHY WE DO IT

Grown with intention,
nourished with care

Since we started, Green and Bloom has taken on many different iterations as we've continued to learn, grow, and solidify our roots. Today, we grow roughly one acre of over 100 different varieties of vegetables and flowers in Amaranth, ON. With each phase of the farm's evolution, our intention has remained the same: to grow the healthiest plants possible using organic and regenerative agricultural practices that are good for the soil, the environment, and the people eating our food.

WHAT WE BELIEVE

Some things stay constant, no matter the season.

Organic & regenerative, always

1

We don't take shortcuts with the soil. Our practices are rooted in the belief that healthy land grows healthy food — and that what's good for the earth is good for the people eating from it. No synthetic pesticides, no compromise.

Seasonal and intentional

2

We grow what belongs here and what belongs in this moment. Each variety on the farm was chosen with care — for flavour, for biodiversity, for what it gives back to the soil and to the people who eat it.

Community at the centre

3

The farm only makes sense in relation to the people it feeds. Our CSA members aren't just customers — they're part of the growing season with us, sharing in the abundance and the occasional imperfection that makes real food feel real.

Honesty over perfection

Farming is beautiful and hard. We share both sides — the lush beds and the late frosts, the bumper crops and the seasons that teach you something. We're not performing an ideal; we're living one honest season at a time.
